A nation-wide programme, focusing on young people’s views on the issues of their concern and giving them a chance to include their views in the manifestos of UK political parties!
We are creating a unique and genuinely youth-led political manifesto to give young people LIKE YOU the chance to put YOUR voices into policy making across government for the first time.
Your ideas – our passion! We will gather ideas for the My Manifesto across policy areas ranging from engagement in local communities to national political participation, covering issues concerning young voters. Our organisation’s unique approach bridges the gap between everyday young people and parliament, becoming the mouthpiece for a segment of the population which is traditionally marginalised in political discourse.
We feel it is extremely important to widen political registration initiatives during the next few years, but an increase in turnout can only be achieved by young people realising the positive potential of their vote
Apart from constructing the manifesto, the aim of the project will be to lobby MPs over the issues of concern to local youth communities. This will also be done through the series of events run in different communities across our network, where local MPs and MEPs will be invited and take part. Such an approach will raise the profile of the organisation and strengthen the power of My Manifesto before it is published and presented to the government.
