Peter LesniakChief Information OfficerPeter Lesniak. Joined Bite the Ballot in September 2010. Our "inside man" in Parliament. Peter has been helping in developing the campaign in many ways including organizing Westminster debates, writing articles and attracting celebrities. He has established working relations with many MPs and Peers that are now supporting the Campaign.
Michael SaniManaging DirectorMichael Sani. Creative and extremely enthusiastic about everything. Meaning EVERYTHING. His positive character and great sense of humour has helped attract many young individuals to the campaign. Michael devoted most of his free time to developing the campaign and widening its horizons. He is very passionate about the changes that young people can bring into politics and more people feeling involved in their future. "There are many great people in the world, historic and present, that fight for what they believe in and we are no different- the future is what you make it!"
Usaama KaweesaCampaignerUsaama 21, years old. Usaama joined the team in 2010 because he wanted to inject his energetic and opinionated personality into this grassroots movement. Usaama's genuine interest in politics is highly valuable in the organisation. Politics for him is more than just about Peers and MPs in the Palace of Westminster, it's about everyone in our Kingdom getting involved in our democracy. In the words of Usaama "I want to break the political barrier that exists between us and our leaders by bringing politics to the younger generation who have yet to take an interest. I think Bite The Ballot can play a unique role here by reaching out to all those young people through new media and fellow youths like myself, so we can engage the future voters or leaders of our United Kingdom in the decision making process'.
David HughesmanTreasurerDavid is one of the Co-Founders of BtB. He is 34 years older than Michael but went out of his way to invest his time in making Michael believe in democracy and the power of his vote. David supports this movement in a number of amazing ways, one of which is by being the Business Guru who share's his experiences an helps our team overcome the hurdles our campaign sometimes faces. He is the first one to smile when things are proving difficult and his positivity and humorous approach to business is a key characteristic our whole team adopts. Nick named the Doc after Doc Brown in Back to the Future and not because he is crazy, well okay, a little!
MevanSocial Media CoordinatorMevan joined Bite the Ballot in 2010. She was incorporated into the team for her earlier exploits in political campaigning. Showing great promise and passion, she believes that a fairer and more informed Britain is the way forward.
Benjamin Daniel PookShadowing ChairmanBenjamin. 21 years old, studying Video Arts. He is passionate for filmmaking and that's what got him involved in the Bite The Ballot. He wants to make an influence and thinks it is time for all young people to have a political voice. He quotes Mark Twain: "The world owes us nothing, it was here a long time before us". He says that it is time that we go and ask the questions we want answers to. Politics is more than a word, what it stands for is more then any word can really define, it is the foundation of the road that leads our life!
Lord RobertsLead AssociateLord Roger Roberts of Llandudno. The Grandfather of the movement. With his positive soul and great power of words, Lord Roberts joined the campaign in 2010. Providing his experience and knowledge, he helped with many organizational aspects. His devotion to youth and belief in better tomorrow keeps us on track and gives us power!
Daina Antonia BrownMarketing OfficerDaina Antonia Brown, 19, studying Graphic design. She has a passion for adverts in all forms, she got involved in Bite The Ballot because she wanted to use her growing knowledge to help attract young people to politics. She has designed all the brochures for the debates and wants to help engage young people to make a difference in their future. She believes in politics: "you have a voice and you need to use it!"
Stuart DingwallPresenter / Shadow TreasurerStuart is one of the core team members. He enjoys acting and the arts, he spends a lot of time in front of the camera and has a unique and honest way of saying things.
